...so we are celebrating with custom pillowcases and made beds (well some of us are -- remember I also have teen boys)!
To make our custom pillowcase we used Crayola Fabric Markers
These markers are great! Bella literally spent hours working on her pillowcase. She is really into hearts as you can see! She asked me to draw a heart shape. The pillowcase was thin enough that I slipped a paper with a heart drawn on it in the middle and she could see it well enough to trace. It would be fun to use coloring book pictures as templates also. A child could easily decorate anyway they like, but if they seem intimidated have them make a drawing first on paper and then they can trace it.
** Make sure you place a piece of cardboard inside the pillowcase to keep the markers from bleeding through to the other side. Read package directions for setting the fabric.**
Really the possibilities are endless for this craft---- slumber party or birthday crafts, gifts, etc.. They could even be further embellished with bits of fabric, trims and embroidery.

I am so going to buy these to make Christmas presents for the grandparents. Not sure what I can sew them into, but I’ll figure that out later…and maybe one for mommy too!

Nifty! I don’t care one whit about making beds (they’re just gonna get messy again, anyway, lol!) but I dig the idea of custom made pillowcases. Sign me up for a box, please.

These pillowcases are adorable. Such a great gift idea. Wouldn’t it be cute to use them to track your child’s milestones? First Day of School, First Loose Tooth, etc.? I can’t wait to get started!!!

I am a little wary of what my toddler would do with markers that aren’t supposed to wash out. Then again, we never let her play with markers. It might a cute present for grandparents hand decorated by their favorite little terror.

Oh my, markers for fabric…how fun are those. I guess there are already markers for fabric, but they are not Crayola our favorite brand in this house. My 7 year old and I would love to use these for a sleep over art project. The pillow case coloring is a great idea, thanks.

I’ve been wanting some fabric markers for my nephew lately! He always wants to make something when he’s here and he would love to decorate his own shirts.
My toddler is into all things marker related and would love these! Plus, we’re decorating her room for her new “big girl bed” so this would be a fun project.
