Genius! This is such a simple yet genius idea that I would have never though of it! I was looking for a DIY countdown calendar that could hold stuff. KF has a cute one, but it's not something I plan on using every year & it's expensive. I have a Cricut & envelope templates, but I just didn't see anything of them being what I wanted & it would take forever to put them together after cutting. These are super quick to make, just cut squares with a paper cutter, tape & crimp. I made an empty one for practice & my toddler is carrying it around the house for the last hour. I may put them on a string or stick them on a decorated foam board, depends on how fast I can get it done & ship it out to my cousin! I am excited to see how it works out. I bought a crimper just for this & just love it, I love to add dimension to my scrapbook pages so it will come in handy - you gave me a reason to buy one! :) Thanks for sharing, I like your website :)

A few posts asked what else a paper crimper can be used for, I actually cut some pale yellow paper into some odd shapped circles and then crimped them. They looked GREAT as potato chips on an invitation.
