Valentine's-Day-Chocolate-Countdown-5I love making detailed and intricate gifts for Valentine’s Day but sometimes you just need to buy a bag of chocolates and call it day! Here’s a super easy way to tell someone just how special they are in this easy Valentine’s Day Countdown free printable.

First things first, you’re going to need to download the “Valentine’s Day Chocolate Countdown” free printable file I’ve created. It includes 1 main label and 10 small candy wrappers. You can either cut them out by hand or pull the file into your cutting machine’s software and cut out that way. Don’t forget to cut the small slits in the heart to secure the wrapping around the chocolates!

Valentine's-Day-Chocolate-Countdown-2Once everything has been cut, write down 10 things you love about the person you’ll be giving this to. One of the things I love most about this project is that you can custom tailor it to be appropriate for any audience. You can make the sentiments a little spicy if gifting this to your husband or totally sweet if you plan on hanging it on your teenager’s door. How cute would it be to have your kid make one for their teacher? The options are endless!

Valentine's-Day-Chocolate-Countdown-3Once you’ve written everything and carefully secured the wrappers around the chocolates (Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares work perfectly!), connect each individual wrapper to the next with some cute washi tape. You could also staple them together if your wrappers are long enough but just be careful that you don’t squish the chocolate in the process!

Valentine's-Day-Chocolate-Countdown-4To finish, sandwich the first candy wrapper edge in between the main label and use strong double sided tape to secure. Again, you can also use a stapler to do this if that’s easier. I cut small slits in the top to add my ribbon before closing so that I could hang it from a door.

Valentine's-Day-Chocolate-Countdown-8All that’s left to do is hang your Valentine’s Day Chocolate Countdown some place your Valentine will find and enjoy! I thought it would be fun to put this on a car door to surprise your significant other or from a cubical chair for a co-worker. Even a moody teenager would have to smile if they saw this hanging from their locker, right? Hope you enjoy this free printable!
