Are you running behind and need to take something to a Fourth of July party? I think this is why cake mix cookies were invented. With just a box of cake mix and a few pantry items you can easily and quickly make a festive dessert. I hope you enjoy these red white and blue cake mix cookies as much we do! We love snickerdoodle cake mix cookies and chocolate cake mix cookies make the best ice cream sandwiches EVER!
So grab some cake mixes oil and eggs. That is all it takes! …….. we added a few red white and blue sprinkles too!
Red and Blue Velvet Cookies
1 Red or Blue Velvet Cake Mix
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
Mix cake mix together with oil and eggs. Make balls. I use a scoop to make this go even quicker. Bake at 350 for about 10 mins for small cookies like these or about 13 minutes for larger. Don’t over bake.
What colorful cookies for the Fourth of July!
We also used a yellow cake mix (a white cake mix would have been better). In no time at all we made red white and blue cookies!
Now we are off to see the Fourth of July parade. This is the first year in 10 years that we haven’t had a float. We took a break but we will be back with an amazing float next year! Just click on the images below if you would like to see our Fourth of July Parade Floats.
