Why I only make homemade fudge at the holidays I will never know. It is so good and easy. My son has been asking for fudge and since it seems like fudge is for special occasions and since we just had a very special occasion –the time was right! So we are celebrating with delicious homemade fudge. You won’t believe how easy it is.

My son ( who doesn’t want to be on my blog) just graduated 8th grade! I am so proud of him. This kindhearted, athletic, smart, capable, hardworking, caring kid that is always hungry is certainly deserving of fudge!

Add chocolate chips and marshmallow creme; stir until completely melted. Add vanilla and mix well.

Pour immediately into the pan and spread evenly. Let stand at room temperature 4 hours or until completely cooled; cut into 1-inch squares. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature or in refrigerator.

        1. Have been making this for years. Has almost always turned out perfectly. I do however rub the butter areoundcthe inside of the pan ( sides ) and it keeps the mixture from sticking to the inside as it cooks. Sometimes if the humidity is high, it takes a little longer to reach 234 degrees.

        2. This is the 1st year of making fudge , as my mother allways made me a large box every christmas . She allways made extra for my friends. And would send it from florida to sandiego at any cost . This year she had a stroke and lost her husband in a 3 moth period . I write this with tears in my eyes as i think of her this christmas the fudge tastes and smells just like hers. I’ve made 6 batches for my family and friends and will be sending some to my mom this year i wish i allso had her blood oranges she would hand wrap and send allso from her own trees. This recipee is so easy to make and tastes soooo good ! As a man of 47. Even i can make it Thanks again . Jerry Lyon
