Homemade Chocolate Covered Cherries
Here is what you will need to make these delicious Homemade Chocolate Covered Cherries:
- chocolate wafers
- cherries (I prefer with stems, but you can do with or without)
- cookie sheet covered with wax paper
- dipping tool
Follow the instructions on your chocolate melting wafers and heat them accordingly. Always be careful and follow the directions, over heating the chocolate will ruin your day if you don’t have any extra chocolate on hand. (Trust me, I know!)
Once your chocolate has been melted, take the cherries by the stem and using the dipping tool, dip into the chocolate and then place onto the cookie sheet.
This process goes by so fast, and before you know it, you will have a bunch of chocolate covered cherries! Place them in the fridge for 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to completely harden.
Once the chocolate is hardened, simple take a cupcake liner and place two or three cherries and place them in the liner. This is perfect for serving at a dessert table for a party.
This is such a fun and simple recipe, and the turnaround time is quick. If you are in a bind and need a quick but delicious dessert, these homemade chocolate covered cherries are perfect!
