Welcome Just A Girl,

You Are a Hit with Me Valentine | Just a Girl and Her Blog for Skip to My Lou

Hi there, Skip to My Lou readers! I’m Abby from Just a Girl and Her Blog, where I write about organization, home decor, all things creative and crafty, and random happy thoughts. 🙂 I am so delighted that Cindy has asked me to be part of her Valentine’s Day printables series!

I love printables of all types, but printable Valentines are extra special to me because of a little tradition I have with my six-year-old son, Connor. For the past couple of years, he and I hit the craft store a few weeks before Valentine’s Day in search of the perfect materials to create his Valentines. We don’t go in with any ideas in mind. We just walk up and down the aisles until he sees something that catches his eye. It is then my job to take whatever he has picked and create a fun Valentine out of it for his friends! Fortunately, he’s made great picks so far, and all of his gifts for his classmates have turned out really well.

This year as he was perusing his options, some packages of colorful paddle ball sets jumped out at him and the challenge was on!

Here’s what we used to create

 You are a hit with me! Valentines

  • “You Are a Hit with Me!” printable {provided below}
  • Small paddle ball sets {We found these in the party favor section at Michael’s.}
  • Paper cutter and/or scissors
  • Hole Punch
  • Ribbon or twine

Putting these Valentine’s together was a cinch. First you’ll need to print out the little cards. I used several different color combinations and tried to include some options that weren’t too girly– I do live with all boys, after all!

Once they were printed, I used my paper cutter to slice them apart, and I punched a small hole in the corner of each one so I could tie them to the paddle ball sets.

Then all that was left to do was tie them together, and we were done– so easy!

Connor couldn’t wait to sign his name and get them ready to give out to his classmates. I think they’ll be a hit! 😉
