Hello!   I’m Kellie from Nest of Posies.  Lover of all carbs, crafts & design.  Homemade shop owner & most importantly Mommy to 3.  I truly find pleasure in making our home creative & yummy to our souls.

I’m thrilled to be over here for the Bake, Craft & Sew Along!  I had the privilege of meeting Cindy back in April at the SNAP! Conference & I can attest to her being as sweet as can be in real life!

Truth me told, I’m a huge lover of felt & handmade items.  So it was only fitting for me to join the two & share these very simple Felt Stitched Ornaments with you all.    Actually, there’s 2 types of ornaments here.  My basic sewing machine does embroidery & of course, all the other stitching that I rarely use.  I thought it would be fun to actually use those stitches to create these ornaments.  So if you don’t have a machine that does embroidery work, you can most certainly use all your stitches that your machine does & create these in a matter of minutes!

I simply played around with my stitches & went to town.  I used red & white thread for my stitching, but obviously you can use any color.  The sky is the limit with all the possibilities!  I think they would even be fun as gift tags!

After I finished with the stitching I used a dye & cut them into a circle and cut an additional circle for the backing.

Punched a hole in the top with a regular hole punch.

Glued the 2 sides together with hot glue.

Threaded simple red ribbon through the punched hole for hanging.

Within minutes you have personalized Stitched Ornaments or gift tags.  I even thought of doing personal names on the felt for our family.  Again, endless possibilities for very little time & money = my kind of project!

To see more of my recent Christmas projects (yes, I’ve already started making Christmas crafts!) Head on over to Nest of Posies & take a peek.  I’d be delighted for you to stop by!

Thanks again for having me over, Cindy!
