How to make felt carrot pencil holders
Download template. Cut one leaf and two carrots. Cut one carrot with curved top and one shorter.
{Carrot Pencil Holder Template}
On the carrot with the top part missing sew details. With the sewing machine sew across the top to reinforce and then make stitches down each side to look like a carrot.
Stitch the two carrots together starting on one side all the way around to the other. Leave the top open.
Place the carrot on top of the green leaf. Sew across the top of the carrot to attach.
Trim the back close to stitching line.
This is your chance to use those fancy stitches on your sewing machine. I used stitch 17 the Babylock Rachel machine. Go around the edges of the leaf.

Wow, made a little larger, they would good as cutlery holders at Easter.
It takes about one orange sheet for the carrot and you can cut multiple green tops from one sheet. Sometimes the felt sheets vary in size you might print out the template and take it to the store to measure for sure. I hope this helps.
