Hi there! I’m Jessica from Mom 4 Real, and I’m so excited to share these super fun kid’s totes with you! My daughter Kate made them for herself and her sweet cousin to take to the pool, but they can also be used to corral toys or as a fun tote for the school year too!
We started with a few basic supplies for these totes! We used Elmer’s Craft Bond Fabric and Paper Glue, Elmer’s Craft Bond Spray Adhesive and my favorite Elmer’s Painters. We also used some silk flowers and some fabric letters and plastic totes that we found at Michaels Craft Store.
We started by applying spray adhesive to the backs of the letters, then press them onto the front of the plastic totes.
We cut the stems of the flowers off and added fabric glue to the backs of them, then pressed them onto the totes, allowing for plenty of drying time. You will want to lay the totes on their sides so that the flowers and glue don’t slide down before drying.
Now for the un part! Add #BFF or whatever fun sayings or doodles you like to the tote using the painters! You could even let the kiddos decorate the back of the totes with fun pictures and drawings!
Aren’t they super cute? These would make great birthday gifts stuffed with a beach towel and some fun pool toys too! You can also totally make these bor boys! Just leave off the flowers!
Be sure to pin the photo below to your favorite Pinterest board too so you can look it up later!
Thanks so much for having me over here at Skip To My Lou! Happy summer, y’all!
