We all know Curious George loves paint and getting messy so we are too! We are having fun making this darling Curious George handprint monkey craft! You can easily make him with items you probably already have around your home!
Curious George Handprint Monkey Supplies
- paper plate
- brown acrylic paint (tempera also works)
- foam paint brush
- glue stick
- markers
- white cardstock
- Curious George Template Face download printed on light brown cardstock
- Curious George Template Head download printed on white cardstock
How to make a Handprint Monkey
Download templates and cut out. Younger children might need help with this first step.
Paint the head brown. The cardstock might curl a bit but it will work fine. Allow head to dry.
Paint hand with brown paint. No need to paint the thumb.
Place hand on a sheet of white cardstock.
Remove hand to reveal the handprint. We had to paint in the area where fingers join the hand with the brush. You might have to fill in some areas too! Allow handprint to dry.
Glue the face to the head.
Once handprint is dry glue the head to the hand.
Draw in some vines for swinging, bananas for eating or balloons for floating!
