Posted by  ·  February 21, 2015  ·  Last Updated: April 30, 2016

Hello my friends!!!! I’m Gina & I blog at Kleinworth & Co. where I share projects for the home, crafts with my kids, a whole lot of recipes & the occasional photography tutorial. I am so THRILLED to be here with you today. I love coming up with Easy Family Dinner Ideas & hearty soups top my list this time of year. Whether it be creamy, chunky or packed full of pasta – soups are my “go-to” meal. I love how easy they are to make- especially when I can toss all the ingredients in the crock pot & let it go for the day. I say it a lot on my blog- in our house easy is king & I try to keep 99.9% of my recipes as easy as possible.

This recipe came about because I was craving broccoli cheddar soup. However I wanted something a little more hearty & filling so we could eliminate the need for my very hungry family to have something additional on the side like a sandwich. So I decided to add a little ground sausage to the soup during the last 30 minutes of cooking. It was a great decision. My family loved the change & they ate the whole pot.
