Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up the first full week of May.  Get creative with these  ideas from some of the most talented bloggers during my Teacher Appreciation Gift Ideas series! All April we will be featuring great ideas. I can’t wait to see what they share. You will be totally prepared with ideas to thank your teachers!  Give your teacher a apple (except with a twist). This Apple for Teacher is a iTunes card printable. Isn’t that clever?

Ameroonie Designs is here to share this berry themed idea, perfect to use in so many clever ways.

Hi friends!  It’s Amy from Ameroonie Designs here with you today!  I really love teachers.  They give so very much to our children.  And every year I find myself trying to come up with a way to tell them how much I appreciate all they do to help educate and train these sweet babies of mine.

When I found these cute berry baskets on sale after Easter I had a great idea for a cute “berry” gift idea.  I contacted my friend Gwen Littler from Littler Design and asked her if she would be willing to make up some gift tags and she agreed!  And we are sharing them with you too!  Just click over to her blog and download either a JPEG (if you want to print at a photo center) or a PDF (if you want to print from home).

Once you have printed them off, you are ready to decide which one you want to use.

I have a couple of different ideas on ways you can create a fun gift to go with the berry theme.  First, if you are someone who sews, like me, you can make up a couple of cute zipper pouches using a fun strawberry fabric, like this fabric from the Strawberry Biscuit line by Penny Rose Fabrics.  You can find the tutorial for the cute little change pouch on my blog.

If you know your teacher likes to garden, finding a cute little strawberry plant is a fun way to give her a gift that keeps on giving.

And finally, every teacher needs staples- like soap, pencils, scissors and gum to keep them going and supply their classroom.  Consider things the teacher might need and then purchase them in berry colors to go with your theme.  I also added a change purse to this gift and thought it would be the perfect place to put a gift card or some cold hard cash!

After you’ve decided on which gift you’re going to give, wrap them up (unless it’s the plant- then I’d just tie a ribbon on it) with cellophane and tie on your fun gift tag.  Now you’re done!
