Teacher Appreciation Week is the first full week in May. Through all of April I am excited to share some amazing ideas from some of the most wonderful bloggers for my Teacher Appreciation series! It’s a great month! You will be totally prepared with ideas to thank your teachers!

Welcome Jamielyn….

Hi there! I’m Jamielyn from I {Heart} Nap Time and I’m thrilled to be here today as part of the Teacher appreciation series! There have been so many fun ideas shared!

Today I’m going to show you how to make these simple gifts for your children’s teachers. They will love these mini art easels that they can display on their desks. Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Supplies:

  • Mini art easel (purchased from Michaels)
  • Chalkboard paint
  • Red and blue paint (or color of choice)
  • Paint brush
  • Chalk

These are quite simple to make. First, give the mini canvas a coat of chalkboard paint. Once it has dried completely, you can add another coat. Make sure to follow the directions on the bottle to allow proper drying times.

Next you’ll paint the easle with your color of choice. I found it easiest to give them a couple coats of spray paint.

Once your easle and canvas have dried you can write a little note to your teacher with chalk or a chalk marker. I LOVE the chalk markers (found at Jo-Ann’s) because they write so smooth.

Wrap it up with ribbon and a little note and your gift is ready go! Thanks for having me ladies, I’d love for you to come by and visit!
