Paper Ghost Garland

Passing some time yesterday, we made a really simple Halloween craft. We used some butcher paper, but freezer paper would be great also.  Decide how long you want your garland, then accordion fold. Draw your ghost on the top. We have a template if you like.

Paper Ghost Garland Template

Cut your ghost out making sure to not cut around the hands.

Draw faces on each ghost

It wasn't too long before someone decided the faces should be pink!

If I can find some long orange paper we will be making pumpkins!  I think it would be funny to see all of the different faces she could come up with!

Thanks for taking the time to visit me today!

Dressed up playdough

I found these Pumpkin Push Ins on the Halloween isle at Wal-Mart.

You get so many pieces in this set. (They also had a monster set)
When my oldest son was a toddler a friend gave us a set of plastic features for our playdough.   He is now 16 and we are missing a few pieces, but my littlest (and a few of the bigger ones, which will remain nameless) still love playing with them.  Even though these were meant for a pumpkin, they worked perfectly for our homemade playdough.

We are all about costumes around here--we even dress up our playdough!

Making Smencils Pencils and then giving some to YOU

My son made Smencils as a little back to school gift for his friends.  He had so much fun! Last year he bought one from another child at school selling them for her dance fundraiser.  He has talked about them ever since. I have to say it is a quite ingenious product that is also good for the environment.

In the home kit your receive enough supplies to make 8 pencils, two of each scent.

First you apply the label

Then apply the scent

Allow the pencil to dry and then place it in its own cool plastic freshness tube!

Smencils is going to allow 1 person to try the home kit that makes 8 pencils and 20 people to make a mini kit that makes two pencils. Please leave a comment by midnight Sunday, August 10, 2008 for a chance to win these extra fun freebies!
