Once again Michael’s asked me to decorate a Christmas tree. My first year I made loads of wrapping paper ornaments. Last year many special people contributed to make an amazing tree totally decorated in crochet ornaments. This year I decided to show how I traditionally decorate my family’s tree with a collection of ornaments collected through the years.
Many of our ornaments were collected while living overseas and represent places we have visited. We have a church from Russia, an Egyptian head, nutcrackers and Knights. We also have ornaments for our hobbies and interests. I was thrilled to see that Michael’s now carries these glass ornaments so my collection can grow.
For my candy loving daughter this gum ball machine seemed perfect.
For my son whom was born in Texas, a Santa riding in a car with a longhorn!
And to remember our VW Beetle.
I have always wanted a gold tree because I think it sets off these ornaments best. So yes, I spray painted the entire tree gold. It worked out beautifully!

Thanks Michaels for providing me with a tree and gift card for decorating! As always, all opinions and ideas are my own. I don’t share things I wouldn’t use in my daily life!
