If you remember awhile back I accepted applications on behalf of Lowe’s to do a Holiday Makeover. I am so excited to share with you my Lowe’s Holiday Makeover Reveal!  After reading through the applicants I chose a home in Kansas City. The homeowner’s application was funny and yet also heartfelt! This homeowner lost her father last year before the holidays making the season difficult for her family. She couldn’t bring herself to decorate or do much celebrating. Well, I thought it would be fun to make her home extra festive for this holiday! We had a beautiful home to work with.

She said she was so proud of the Royals and wanted to show her pride with their World Series win! At first I didn’t know what to think and certainly didn’t know how I could make this happen! After several trips to Lowe’s checking out their decorations and a few brainstorming sessions with my partner, Dan, we figured it out.

Of course we would grant her wish of blue lights on the house, but we wouldn’t stop there! I made a little sketch to show my plans and she was totally on board! Through the whole process she was such a good sport.

Of course, we would need to have to have jumbo baseball bats.

Lowe’s not only helped my homeowner receive a little holiday cheer, Lowe’s also generously gave her neighbor, recently out of a job, a beautiful wreath and Lowe’s gift card. Thanks Lowe’s for helping us pass it forward! Thanks also to the hardworking Lowe’s associates that made this makeover possible. Dawn, Davy and Raumin are the best!
