Teacher Appreciation Week is the first full week in May. Through all of April I am excited to share some amazing ideas from some of the most wonderful bloggers for my Teacher Appreciation Gift Ideas series! It’s a great month! You will be totally prepared with ideas to thank your teachers!

Hi Everyone!  I’m Mandy from the super-awesome Sugar Bee Crafts and I blog about crafts and tons more – I feel that if I can do something , you can too, and love to show you how.  I’m super excited to be part of the Teacher Appreciation  Series here on Skip To My Lou.

I want to show you how to make a Linked Keychain with Charm.  It is a fun and unique way for teachers to carry their school pride with them from place to place.  You will need:

  • 6 keychain rings
  • 1 keychain clip
  • 1 glass tile mascot charm

You can find a mascot charm at local shops or easily make one via my Glass Pendant Tile tutorial.

First, take one keychain ring and thread on 4 additional rings (all threaded on the original ring), as shown:

Then spread it out so you have 2 rings on top, the original ring in the middle, and two more rings on the bottom.  Attach the final additional ring to the bottom two rings, as shown:

Next thread on your charm to that bottom single ring.

And hook the top two rings into the clip:

That’s it!  When your links are all assembled, you will have a fun and unique keychain like so:

Teachers will enjoy being able to show off their school spirit – – so fun!  Love the dimension of the big links that comprise the keychain:

Thanks for having me!  Hope to see you over at Sugar Bee Crafts!

    Thanks.

  2. What a cute key chain! I can see this being used for any gift-giving occasion just by changing out the color of the rings and the charm! TFS!
