Whole Wheat and Flax Pancakes
1/4 cup ground Flax
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk (I used 1%)
1 egg
1 tablespoon canola oil
Combine flour, flax, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl mix milk, egg and oil. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry indredients. Gently stir until just combined. Do not over stir, batter will be lumpy. Spray pan with nonstick spray and cook!

I think it made about a dozen pancakes ( a bit smaller than the ones pictured).
How many servings does this make?
Wheat flower? 🙂

Thank you for sharing!
Used almond milk and extra virgin olive oil and added ground cinnamon sticks. They came out delicious…
These were great! I did not add any additional salt as there is already sodium in the baking powder and baking soda and the pancakes were perfect. I also added a cup of fresh blueberries.
