Free Printable Teacher Appreciation Cards by Chickabug

    Posted by  ·  April 11, 2013

Teacher Appreciation Week is the first full week in May. Through all of April I am excited to share some amazing ideas from some of the most wonderful bloggers for my Teacher Appreciation Gift Ideas series! It’s a great month! You will be totally prepared with ideas to thank your teachers!

Hello all! I’m Heather from Chickabug, and I’m so happy to be included in this year’s Teacher Appreciation series on Skip to My Lou! Here’s a little about me: I design and sell personalized paper goods and DIY party printables in the Chickabug shop, and I write about all sorts of fun party, craft, and food-related things on my blog. And, I love to design and give away free printables!

Even though I blog about crafting all the time, I have to admit – I’m not good at planning ahead when it’s time to give gifts. I’ll want to make a big, impressive, straight-from-the-heart homemade craft project, but run out of time and end up grabbing a gift card the day before. It can’t just be me who has this problem, right?!

So, my free Teacher Appreciation printable is for all us crafty wannabes – the gals who love Pinterest but just can’t seem to make it to Michael’s in time. And, for us gals who have a sassy sense of humor. ; ) Without further ado… here are my free printable teacher appreciation cards!

Free printable teacher appreciation cards from Chickabug - cute and funny!

There are three designs so you can pick your favorite saying, or give them to different teachers. And of course, making these cards is a cinch – just print the design of your choice onto white card stock, cut the cards out, and adhere the back to the front (to add that extra-snazzy patterned back). Stick on your gift card, and you’re good to go. If you need an envelope, these fit a standard A7 size envelope… or just go without an envelope, I won’t tell!

Bwa ha ha! I love this. Thanks for taking the pressure off. This is our first year at school and with 6 kids--Teacher gifts can be overwhelming.

Oh my goodness - this is so perfect! Every teacher hopes for something like this - no crayon portraits or china figurines! :)

Best teacher idea ever. I love it. I'm sure teachers get pretty sick of all the "creative" gifts and then they probably feel like they have to display them in the classroom too. Ugh. This is so cute and funny.

Fantastic! Super funny and very timely. They'd be 100% perfect if they read "we" as in from the child and the parents. :)

Ahh! I'm beaming EAR-TO-EAR reading your kind words!! : ) Letting my kinda-sarcastic side out was a bit of a leap for me, especially as a guest poster here at Skip To My Lou. So it MAKES MY DAY (and then some!) to hear such great things! Thank you, thank you! : )

Thank you so much for creating and sharing these...they are perfection! I just lost a couple of hours on pinterest searching for clever Teacher Appreciation gifts. People are seriously talented and creative, but at the end of the day, I think most teachers would rather have a gift card to get what they really need and want over an adorable apple plaque for thier desk! No offense to those who are planning to give apple plaques! Our teacher's favorite store is Target (isn't everybody's?)... I was searching for a creative way to give her a gift card there. She has a great sense of humor too, so these are awesome! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

These are really so creative! I honestly laughed out loud when I read them. I was trying to think to myself how I was going to make something creative and special for my son's 5 student teachers and head teacher before next week's End of Semester celebration and now I've got it!! No worries here from this mom...more time to be spent outside playing (that's what's really important anyway right?!)!
      Thanks again!!

As a mom to a preschooler AND a teacher, I could not love these more. Thank you from the bottom of this disorganized, non-crafty mama's heart! I will say, that it took me two tries to print because I had to change my printer to landscape (smarter people than me probably figured that out before hitting print). You rock!

Not sure if this will be helpful to anyone else, but when I printed these out originally, the looked perfect, but the gift card space didn't accomodate the gift card...it covered most of the words below the space. At least on my printer, I had to go in and change the page layout to "landscape", NOT "portrait". Once I did that, problem solved...the gift card fit perfectly. I printed 6 of these to hand out to all of our teachers... can't wait, I know they will be a huge hit!! Thank you again for sharing! I've already emailed your link to my girlfriend who plans on using them too and I'll be following your blog as well. :)

I have a feeling that I will now be known to the teachers as the thoughtful-and-slightly-snarky-mom-who-made-all-the-Pinterest-Moms-cry-because-my-gift-was-way-cooler-and-yet-I-got-some-sleep-last-night kind of girl. Now I'm afraid to pin this, lest another girl steals 'my' great gift! ;) Thank you!

This is the funniest thing ever!! As a first time teacher, I don't want to seem ungrateful for what may be going on "in our honor" but really... gift cards are the way to go, people!!! Thanks for keeping it real. I am printing these for my kids' teachers. You are hilarious! xo

Love these! I've been looking for ideas for something to really show my appreciation without spending 12 hours and $50 on craft supplies on something the teachers would ultimately toss in the trash. This is perfect, and I'm pretty sure the teachers will like it better than a jar full of M&M's or yet another plant with a card saying "Thanks for helping me GROW". Thank you thank you thank you!

So good!!! I wanted to use these for end of year teacher gifts instead so I just copied the content and changed the title to teacher gift instead of teacher appreciation gift. (It should go without saying that I am not planning on publishing my version online or anything - just did it for my personal use).

These are great! Although I love crafts and would probably be the type to do handmade teacher appreciation gifts, I always think to myself "would the teacher want something like this from all 20 of their students?" and I opt for a gift card.

2 of these cards went to school today for teacher apperication. Love them! Just the right amount of sass and humor but also showing a bit of respect for how difficult their jobs are (pre-k teachers). Thanks so much for sharing them!
