It’s not too big and not too small…it’s just right for little treasures, candy, or even gift cards. I made a few extra felt pockets to top off some Christmas gifts this year. You can use all your pockets at once or hang 5 or 10 and keep the rest in a bowl nearby.

  • Start by cutting your felt into strips – 3 1/2” x 8 1/2”
  • Round the corners on one end {shown in the photo above}
  • Fold the bottom up so the pocket measures about 3 1/2” x 5”
  • Sew around the outside as close to the edge as possible
  • Cut two circles and glue them together to create a number tag {1 1/2” total}
  • Use a hole punch to create two holes on the front of the pocket and one on the flap for your ribbon
  • Run your ribbon through the holes from the inside and tie your tag on

  7. I’ve had trouble finding wool felt in the stores so now I know where to get it online. Cute colors for the advent calendar and one could use the envelopes just for gift giving as well. Thanks!
