This crispy baked garlic chicken makes a simple and delicious family meal.  It uses fresh ingredients that you can keep on hand to make this quick meal.  My family loves it.  For another great dinner try this 5 can taco soup recipe.

Crispy Baked Garlic Chicken

1/3 cup butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, pressed in a garlic press

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup Panko crumbs

1/2 cup cheddar cheese , finely grated

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 pound chicken tenders, about 8 tenders

 

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Spray a metal rack with cooking spray and place on top a baking sheet.

In a bowl combine melted butter with fresh minced garlic, 1 teaspoon garlic powder and salt.

In another bowl combine the Panko crumbs, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon garlic powder and pepper.

Place the chicken in butter and coat the pieces well.  The cold chicken makes the butter harden slightly and helps it to adhere to the chicken.  Dip each chicken tender in the bread crumb mixture.

Place chicken on prepared rack. Bake uncovered for 12-15 minutes until just done.  Don’t over cook.
