This craft paint storage idea will get you organized in no time. I use those little bottles of acrylic paint all the time and keeping them organized can be a challenge. These wooden shelves go together in no time and not only keep all my paint at my finger tips it makes a great display on the wall.

Craft Paint Storage Supplies

Wire brad nails 1 1/14 X 16, flat head wood screws #10 X 4, wood filler, 2 1/2 inch wide X (desired length)  pine board, 1 1/2 inch X (desired length plus 5 inches for end pieces) pine board, hammer, saw.

How to build shelves for acrylic paint bottles

Cut the 2 1/2 inch wide piece of wood to desired length. Use the long flat head wood screws to attach the board  edgewise to the wall. Find studs in wall to securely attach to wall.

Cut two 2 1/2 inch pieces from the 1 1/2 inch wide board for the ends of the shelf. Nail the end pieces to the board that is fastened to the wall with wire brad nails.

Cut the 1 1/2 inch board  to cover the the front of the piece attached to the wall plus the end pieces. Evenly space finish nails along the front to attach.

Fill nail holes with wood filler. Once dry lightly sand. Now the shelves can be painted or stained.

  1. This is brilliant! Do you know how many of these things I have in boxes? And I can’t remember what colors I have, so when I am at the store, I end up buying a nearly identical color. I think displaying them is definitely the way to go.
