Covered Button Bookmarks
These covered button bookmarks make a cute and useful gift for a special friend. I made a little printable to make them extra easy to gift.
How to Make Covered Button Bookmarks
These covered button bookmarks are super simple to make!
You don’t need many supplies! Grab some fabric scraps, a covered button kit, some blank bookmark clips (found at a craft store), glue gun and needle nose pliers.
To make this craft really easy make sure you get a covered button kit that requires no tools. The button front and back snaps together instead of needing a hammer. These kits can be found at a fabric or craft store.
Remove the shank (metal piece inside of the top button piece) with needle nose pliers.
On the back of the covered button package it will give you a template so you know how big to cut the fabric you will use to cover the button.
Wrap the fabric around the button. Push the fabric inside, making sure to catch it on the teeth of the button.
Firmly snap the bottom button piece to the back of the button.
Hot glue the button to the blank bookmark clip. How simple is that?
Download the free printable gift tag and clip the bookmarks to the edge or fasten on the front with removable glue dot. You could even slit the paper and slip the bookmarks through.
