I don’t want to scare anyone but Christmas is just over 100 days away.

My mind is racing with all the things I want to make.  If you want to share ideas of what you are making please send me and e-mail. So I will start the first day of our handmade gift extravaganza off with a printable gift organizer.  I hope you will find it helpful.

2008 Handmade Holiday Planner

Each year I try to think of meaningful useful gifts that I can make.  Many times it just doesn’t work out.  I always say I will start in January —well that didn’t work this year. So now I am starting in September.   Will you join me?

  1. Hey, I am on the same page as you!! Sounds great, there can never be enough time to get ready for one of the best times of year!! Thanks! I will be checking back often and participating too. I find that if I have a few really GOOD ideas it saves me from going crazy that last month trying to MAKE stuff for all of my family and everybody else for that matter. I need to keep it simple, easy and handmade. OOO that sounded a little like Sandra Lee, yucky:)

  2. I just found your blog, and I’m so glad I did! To try to save a little money and avoid just swapping gift cards, I’m going to try making a large portion of my gifts this year. I can’t wait to see what you have to share. I love your homemade holiday planner, too. That will be so helpful! Thanks for all of your great ideas!

  3. Ok, I’m in. I’ve been thinking about Christmas too. I feel so crazy, but my mind is swimming with ideas. Plus, I’ve been making a lot of things for my kids latly and thinking that maybe I should be saving them for Christmas. Or, I think of someone else to make one for and save. So, I’m going to be making some of these no-sew tutus for the little gals in my life.

  7. Thanks for the Christmas reminder. I will be making zipper pouches and putting gift cards in them for teachers and friends. I also will make personalized clipboards, monogrammed key chains, and I will attempt to make some zipper wristlets.

    So thats a start.

  8. What a great idea! I’ve downloaded it and will start tomorrow! It’s just what I needed to get me thinking creatively again.

  9. I’m usually like you…best intentions but not executed well. Though I do alot of after christmas day sales and such. This year I got on the ball and am almost done totally with handmade gifts for everyone. Even started planning for next year (2009)! I know you hate me know but I share too! =)

  10. Great idea!! A friend and I started a handmade holidays blog at the beginning of July – we’ve both had some unexpected happenings this summer so we haven’t been able to do as much as we had planned… but slowly we’re adding content. I am going to do a post about YOU!
