Supplies for Chocolate Bowls
Chocolate candy coating
wax paper
balloons (water balloon size)
scissors
pastry bag
How to make chocolate bowls
Melt candy coating in a bowl. Melt the candy coating very slowly in the microwave, stirring every 15 seconds. Candy coating only needs to be warm. Blow up the balloon to the size of a small grapefruit.
Lay out a piece of wax paper and place a circle of chocolate. This will serve as the base of your bowl.
Dip the balloon in the chocolate.
Rock the balloon back and forth.
This creates a scalloped edge.
Set balloon on the circle of chocolate. Allow chocolate to completely harden.
Fill a pastry bag with melted chocolate. Snip off the end of the bag and pipe a decoration for the center of the bowl.
Fill bowl with ice cream, mousse or something else delicious for a show stopping dessert.
