Chalkboard Lids for Organization

I have been trying to tame the clutter in my kitchen! We have a junk drawer that needed a bit of attention. Chalkboard lids for canning jars were the perfect solution!  In fact, any recycled jar with a lid could be used.  Just make sure the jars fit in your drawer.

Grab some canning jars or recycled jars with metal lids and chalkboard paint.  I love this Valspar brand from Lowe’s. It works great on metal.

Give metal lids two coats of chalkboard paint.  Allow first layer to completely dry before painting next layer.

Organize your stuff into the jars!

Use chalk or a chalk marker to write on the tops of the lids.  These little jars are perfect for spices too!
