I was thinking: “What do you get the person who has everything?” Your time. The idea of a love coupon is to give the gift of yourself. A back massage, a night out on the town, etc.

These vouchers promise your signifigant other some special time with you, and that is a gift that can’t be bought.

So, I sat down and created two sets of coupons; one for women to give to men (with coupons for a guy’s night out, and video games) and a set for men to give to women (with phrases like, “free TV drama” and “Free Chick Flick.”). I worked hard, and they look very nice. (In the Etsy Store for $3.00 here).

But then I got to thinking…again. Most of the coupons I made wouldn’t suit me and my Husband. The things we like to do aren’t so main stream. (Like, playing Legend of Zelda Twilight Sword and going Thrift-Store shopping.) And I bet I am not the only one. So, I came up with THESE puppies. They are free, blank printable business cards sized coupons. Perfect for writing your OWN coupons tailored to your life. Enjoy!

How To Make It:

• Download the free template HERE
• Print template on card stock
• Cut out cards on the dotted line. (You may also use Avery business card paper- and most other business card papers.)
• Write your special messages on them! Don’t be afraid to get saucy if that’s something you think your special someone would like. Or, keep it clean and use them for parents and friends! Give mom a “Free house cleaning,” or your best friend a “Free Dinner and a glass of wine.”

A big thanks to Cindy here at Skip to My Lou for having me!  I have a great organizing project for you as we head into 2012 : The Take-Out Menu Binder.

This is simply a binder for the menus of all the local eateries and restaurants, along with coupons and restaurant info.  What a great resource for those nights you don’t feel like cooking, huh!  All you need is a 1/2″ binder, a couple of page dividers, and a few sheet protectors – oh, and those menus!  Don’t worry if you don’t have any menus yet, just collect them as you go out.

Behind the second tab are the menus.  Like I mentioned before, collect them as you dine out.  Or check online, some restaurants such as Chili’s and Wingers have printable menus.  I’ve put them in sheet protectors to ensure a long life.

Lastly, I’ve included a section for coupons.  You know, the kind that come in the mail-2 Six Dollar Burgers for $6.00 or a Free Beef ‘N Chedder with the Purchase of 1!  I love me a good deal!  These are also snugly placed inside a sheet protector.

To enjoy this beautiful calendar, All you have to do is …Download, print on cardstock, cut pages in half (be sure to trim the sides and bottom).  Then punch holes at the top and tie the pages together with a pretty ribbon. Easy as that!

I used the kraft sacks to make these vintage looking trick or treat favor bags.

First, download the printable. Place the side you want printed face down in the printer tray with bottom of sack going in first.  On my printer I can choose 5 X 8 postcard on the printing menu. I then move the bar over on the printing tray until it is next to the edge of the sacks, and print away.  If this doesn’t work for your printer, print the download on a place piece of copy paper. This shows you the placement on a regular piece of paper and you can tape the sack onto the paper with blue painter’s tape and run the paper through the printer. Printable Trick or Treat Favor Sack Download

If you are using these sacks for cookies or baked goods, the fat can sometimes discolor the sacks. If this is the case, you can line the paper sacks with glassine bags.  They fit just inside the paper sacks and will keep the paper sacks nice.

Getting Started

The first step in creating your recipe cards is to select a size. Cards can either be 6″ by 4″, or 5″ by 3″. Two large cards or three small ones will fit on a single sheet of US letter.

If the lower check box is checked, the same recipe will appear on all cards. If not, a different recipe can be placed on each one.

Once a size is selected, click “Next Step” to move to the recipe entry screen.

Editing your recipe

The tabs at the bottom allow quick editing of any part of the recipe card.

Appearance

Use the appearance tab to select a background and layout for the recipe card.

Recipe Information

Enter the name of the recipe, along with the name of the person that created it.

Ingredients

Enter ingredients for the recipe. The toolbar can be used to insert special characters, such as 1/4 and 1/2 measurements.

Directions

Use the directions tab to enter instructions on how to make the recipe.

Printing your recipe

Once all details of the recipe have been entered, use the “next stage” button to move forward. This will either move to the next recipe, or the print preview screen.

At the print preview, clicking the link to the left will display a full size preview in a new window. If everything looks the way you want, just click the print command to create your new cards!

Now you are ready to give the Free Recipe Card Maker a try!
