  2. Thank you for the feature and I do hope people love and use these ideas!

  3. I was a teacher for 4 years before becoming a stay at home mom, and teacher appreciation day was one of my favorite days of the year! Thanks for sharing these cute sayings…hopefully lots of moms will use them to make their kid’s teachers feel appreciated! 🙂

I featured this on my blog

  4. Sarah seems a little burned out, but her main thought seems to be…It really is important to feel respected, and appreciated. One does not need to spend money, or go to a lot of time to make a cute thing, a simple heart felt thank you, is very effective. THANK YOU for posting all these great ideas, and doors. They are a lovely way to brighten the day, bring a smile, and a laugh. Who couldn’t appreciate that? Teachers who posted…we love your kindness, support, and appreciation! You are right, there are fewer and fewer of us, who make a great effort, to MAKE the time, to thank you…you deserve more, and teachers like you, make it WORTH the effort of those of us, who enjoy loving you, and encouraging our children to support, and appreciate you. YOU ROCK! People who take the enormous time to make places like this, for those of us who are really good at copying and adapting others work… YOU ARE THE FUEL TO OUR FIRE!! KEEP BURNING BRIGHT!! THANKS!!!

  5. I agree that any token of gratitude would be greatly appreciated. I am also a teacher and plan to use one of these ideas to bestow upon my co-workers because we all need all of the kindess and support we can get these days.

Thanks for posting this great list of ideas!

  6. As a teacher, for someone to give me anything for all the hard work we do is very much appreciative. I love my job and would never think of doing anything else. Beggers can not be choosers. I thought giving each teacher a little gift with a pun attached to it was very nice and thoughtful. It also made my day that much better and that much easier to get through. It makes me mad that Sarah would try to put people to shame for trying to do something so kind. Maybe she should have retired a little earlier.

  7. To Sarah. I too spend my days taking care of other people’s children for 8 hours every day. And I would be thankful for any and all goofy trinkets or mini sized junk food that those childrens’ parents would see fit to bestow on me as a token of their appreciation for doing the job that I love no matter how physically or emotionally draining it may be. Maybe you should consider a career change so you can appreciate the small things once again.
To Dee. How about ‘you are simply “scent”sational.

  8. Thank you for posting these ideas! And @ Sarah – as a current educator, I’m saddened by your pessimistic comments. So few people even bother to say thank you at all, so why would you demean the efforts of those who do?

  9. I love all your cute little sayings matched up with the little gifts. I have so many different teachers to get for, so grabbed more than one of your ideas!
I was wondering if you can come up with one for the scents, our teacher loves her room a little dim and full of wonderful smells. . She holds a relaxing atmosphere for the children and was thinking of getting her maybe the electric candle wax , remember we can not have candles with fire. Maybe something like you touch all of our senses , but I think you may be able to come up with something better?

  10. As a recently former teacher, I’d much rather have had a short sincere note written specifically to me. Skip the candy, the goofy trinkets, etc. It belittles what I do to have you attempt to sum it up in a ridiculous pun. ‘Oh, thanks so much for the mini-sized junk food; it really makes up for being paid poorly for draining every drop of energy and emotion in my body as I take care of 30 children’s every need for 8 hours every day.’

  11. Love it! I’m showing this to our PTA as we shower our staff for the week! Thank you for generously sharing you’re creative juices!

  12. Hate to point it out, but your editor must have been snoozing. There are several goofs in these…….from “your” instead of “your are”….to “cute” above the rest….there were a few others as well. There might be some pople that would repeat those errors. Just saying.
Cute ideas, though. I picked up some cute writing supplies yesterday and planned to say something about teacher having the “write” stuff…..this was before i ever saw your post.

  13. What awesome ideas! Thanks for making us a list. Our teachers work so hard loving on our children…your ideas help us appreciate their blessing in our lives.
