Surprise Me!

This 5 Minute Spicy Marinara Sauce is quick easy and delicious! The best part is it starts with canned tomatoes so you can make it anytime! Don’t overlook how helpful and convenient canned food can be for easy and healthy meals. Don’t assume fresh is always better. According to a University of California, Davis study, many canned fruits and vegetables have equal, or more nutrients than their fresh or frozen counterparts. easy marinara

Bring mixture to a simmer and cook about 1 minute until everything is fragrant.  Don’t let the garlic brown. Add in tomatoes, simmer for 5 minutes and then remove from heat. Now for the trick from 101 Cookbooks, stir in lemon zest. I think this is the ingredient that makes the sauce slightly tangy and taste so bold and fresh! Yum! 5 minute spicy marinara sauce
