A big hello all the way from Australia to all the Skip to My Lou friends! I’m Christie from Childhood 101 and today I am excited to be here to share a simple but gorgeous summer bouquet inspired greeting card. This one is easy enough for preschoolers and older children to work on with just a little guidance to get them started – in fact, my six year old daughter made the card shown here with very little input from me at all!

You will need:

  • Paper cupcake wrappers
  • Glue stick or other child friendly craft glue
  • Felt tipped markers
  • A sheet of thin, coloured cardstock
  • Scissors

To make:
1. Prepare your card by folding your piece of coloured cardstock in half. Prepare your cupcake wrappers by cutting the sides of each wrapper to represent the petals of a flower- we used a variety of closely spaced slits, wider slits and cutting out triangle shapes of various widths. For younger children, you can prepare this for them before they begin, older children will be able to do it independently.
