Hi, I didn’t use the bobbles for the center. I used a long stitch over a standard 6 sc (I’m from USA). Start with Magic Ring. 6 sc in ring, slip stitch to first sc. Pull close but not real tight. Enter hook into center and make long single crochet. Make enough long stitches to go all the way around.(my centers take 10 to 12 long stitches, use whatever amount fills your center out nicely). Then proceed to make the sunflower petals in your directions. Thank you for sharing your pattern.
This is the most beautiful sunflower patter I have ever seen! Well done 😉
Hey Ann, I will try. I wish I was better at writing patterns. I need someone who can take my ideas and write what I am doing so others can do it! I will try to get this pattern updated.
Hi Leslie, I gave the amazing Lucy permission awhile back. I am sure you will see it soon!
Hi. I understand that Lucy at Attic 24 is wanting to post her version of your sunflower but is waiting for your permission. Hope you let her do a tutorial of it. She is very good at adapting patterns to make them easier and so good at giving credit. Love your site. Happy New Year.
I’m on my third flower. Each one is getting better, but I don’t have a perfect flower yet. I’m having a lot of trouble with the second row of bobbles, getting 9 petals, and the second row of petals. Would love to see more steps. Thank you!
This is gorgeous but I admit it is confusing, it would help if the instructions are step by step instead of a summary.
These are super cute! I did have trouble following the pattern. On the second round of bobbles, where are you inserting your hook? Do you make 2 bobbles between each one on the first row? I had trouble with my bobbles popping out on the wrong side and then I had to flip my work around and go the opposite direction when I made the petals. I didn’t manage to make as many petals as you did without them being super crowded. These are just a few thoughts. 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
I love you sunflower, but there’s something I couldn’t get with center pattern. I get lost after I make the first bubble 🙁
thanks for sharing
