Hello Skip To My Lou readers! My name is Angie and I blog over at Echoes of Laughter. I have a passion for sharing ideas for crafting, decorating, organizing and cooking and I love filling my home with happy memories! I am delighted to be here today to share this cute craft with you. Since Spring is only days away now, I was inspired to make some sweet birdhouses to celebrate. Where I live, we have had snow on the ground since October and I am anxiously waiting for Spring to arrive! This birdhouse project  would be a terrific activity to make with little people, or a group of girlfriends. These colorful houses would be so fun to hang on branches in a vase for an Easter or Spring Decoration, or  you could make a group of birdhouses to turn into a mobile for child’s bedroom.

Supplies:

Wooden birdhouses

Assorted paints

Paint brushes

Scrapbook paper scraps {for roof shingles}

Ric rac ribbon

Buttons

Chickadee

White glue/hot glue/mod podge

Directions:

1. Paint birdhouse base. Let dry.

2. Paint birdhouse. Let dry.

3. Cut paper strips for roof. Glue on with white glue or mod podge. Let dry.

4. Glue ric rac ribbon on birdhouse on front of birdhouse as shown.

5. Embellish ric rac ribbon with buttons at roof peak as shown.

6. Glue little chickadee on perch as shown.

7. Enjoy your little birdhouse!

I hope you have enjoyed crafting with me today! I have so enjoyed being here at Skip To My Lou and thank you so much to Cindy for inviting me to share some craftiness with you! And don’t forget to come by my blog to say ‘hi’ and to peek at what other shenanigans I have been up to!

Have a wonderful weekend!
