Oh this brings back childhood memories! I used to love eating this on my ice cream when I was little. From the recipe, it doesn't look to complicated to make. I'm going to definitely have to try and make this soon!

I love this recipe! I always loved this topping as a kid and was pleased to find it was so simple to recreate. I followed your recipe using unrefined coconut oil and it ended up tasting like almond joy ice cream when we put it over vanilla ice cream. YUM!

Yum! I would love to make it "Reeses" flavored. Do you think I could just add peanut butter or would I have to use peanut butter chips? (I'd much rather use the real thing). Anyone tried it?

Hello! Thanks for sharing this recipe- I cannot wait to try it!! I hope you don't mind me saying this but it is important to not microwave the coconut oil as it destroys its beneficial healing properties. You could warm it on low heat over a stove- or even put it in a glass dish on the coffee pot warming surface. I'm not sure if there are other reasons for not microwaving coconut oil- but I use it on my massage clients- and every site Ive seen warns against it. Maybe something to do with hexane being released- but don't quote me on that. =)

Hi Cindy!
After getting the email from Pinterest, I decided I just HAD to come check out your site! (I pin things all the time thinking I'll read the site later.) I had a feeling it was going to be good if the Smucker's peeps were apparently threatened by you.
Oh wow, Cindy, seriously, your site is fabulous! You have a new fan for LIFE! Even with this one recipe, I appreciate so much that you are offering a healthy alternative to all of those awful chemicals that I DO NOT WANT from the name brand crap. Your recipe is FAR superior!
Their copyright notice drove me to your site, and away from their name brand garbage! They've only themselves to blame! ;)
Thank you!!
