Hi Jax- all you do is flip the second backing and let it hang. If you’d like to stitch it down, you can.. but its not necessary. Its only there to hide the ugly-ness of seeing the backside of the backing where the ruffles are sewn down to!

I really like the apron… would like to try one but I am a little confussed. With the second backing it says to stitch at the top but I didn’t understand what to do with it after. Am I flipping and attaching it to the back side of the first backing? I so, where and how? Thanks so much, Jax

I may make one of these for my cupcake baking, manga and steam punk style loving, daughter (She is head baker at Gigi’s off 86th in Indy). I may not make it a Christmas apron though, just a cutesy ruff-e-licious apron.
