Felt Flower tutorial {Guest post}

Well hello there lovely Skip To My Lou readers! I’m Sierra and I blog over at the Blue Robin Cottage! I adore anything crafty and I am inspired by everything vintage.  I am so honored and thrilled to be guest posting today and sharing my felt flower tutorial with you! :)
So let’s get started!

The ingredient list is pretty simple and includes:
*Wool felt
*Scissors
*Hot glue gun

Start by cutting out a cute little circle from your wool felt. The bigger the circle, the bigger the flower.

Cut long strips of wool felt about 2 inches in width.
Add a line of hot glue on the very edge of one of your strips of wool felt.
Fold over the other edge and press down.
Now you have a skinny strip of wool felt about an inch in width.
Take your scissors and make cuts into your strip of wool felt on the folded edge, making sure not to cut all the way through.
Add hot glue to the edge of your circle.
Glue down the strip of wool felt. Continue to glue all the way around the circle.
Once you’ve finished gluing down the first row of the wool felt strip all the way around the circle, start on your second row. Keep gluing the strip in rows around the circle until you reach the center.

To make the center of the flower, take a small piece of your wool felt strip, roll it…

Add a dab of glue and press it down into the center.
And your finished!

The possibilities are endless when it comes to this little felt flower. You can add a pin or an alligator clip to the back and put on just about anything! Its one of my favorite embellishments! :) Thanks so much for having me today! I look forward to visiting you at the Blue Robin Cottage!
