The picture has left me kind of confused- did you place a pie crust on top as well? It doesn't say so in the recipe but maybe I missed something ?

This is great and even what makes it even better is that it's so easy!
Mine did turn out a little dry, not sure why.

Have been making this pie for over a decade now. My 11 year old son loves to help make it. However we ALWAYS use a deep dish crust, so I don't know why this post says not to use one ... ??? We have used both semi-sweet chocolate and milk chocolate before, but semi-sweet is better. On occasion I add pecans, too.

Just a quick, but HUGE, note of thanks for this winner of a recipe. Since you originally posted it, I've made it five times and it's truly become my go-to dessert this summer. It couldn't be easier (my hubs timed me and I had it in the oven in ten minutes) and it's a HUGE crowd pleaser. In fact, in an effort to quell my junk-food-guilt, I make it with white whole wheat flour and use a whole wheat pie shell from Whole Foods. I would, seriously, never know. Only think is that I typically make about ten minutes longer than recommended. THANK YOU!!!

Oh, this looks yummy, and the idea of right out of the oven ... even better! I'm thinking a scoop of ice cream on top, perhaps? if we're going to be decadent might as well go all the way. And I wonder too about a graham cracker or chocolate crust,? I'm not fond of pie crust, so I may try one of those alternatives. (And I'll stop now, as I'm trying to type this without my glasses on ... LOL)
