My friend Alice shared these super simple peanut butter no bakes with me and I loved them. It is kinda kookie to put corn chips in cookies,  but it is oh so delicious.

With only four ingredients these peanut butter no bakes come together easily and you don’t even need to turn on the oven. In minutes you have a delicious treat!  Be sure to not boil more than a minute. You want these cookies gooey like caramel. YUM!

In a saucepan over medium heat, bring corn syrup and sugar to a boil, stirring frequently to help dissolve the sugar.  Boil 1 minute, no longer. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter. Stir until smooth. Pour over corn chips.

I thought a drizzle of melted semi-sweet chocolate chips would be a nice touch over the peanut butter Fritos. However, it really wasn’t necessary. Cool, break (tear — it’s gooey)  into pieces or…

      1. oh my gosh SO happy I found this recipe!!! The one thing I remember from third grade, is that we had a student teacher, and every time we had a test she brought us “stupid cookies!!!” Exactly the same as this!!!! I’m so gonna make these A.S.A.P!!!!! LOL Thanks SO much!!!

      2. As I read through the comments I was thinking of a “healthier” version of this recipe.
        1. Use Splenda instead of sugar
        2. Use natural, unsweetened peanut butter

I’m wondering if you MUST use corn syrup or if there could be a healthier alternative.

        Anyone have ideas?

      3. We call this dessert “Trash” here in Southern Oklahoma! No chocolate usually but nice touch! lol YUMMY!

      4. I have made these with cornflakes for years. We grew up calling them Clue cookies (no idea why) now we call them Devil Cookies because you can’t stop eating them! lol I make them in the microwave.

        1 cup corn syrup
        1 cup sugar
        1 cup peanut butter
5 cups corn flakes (or corn chips)

Cook the corn syrup and sugar for 4 1/2-5 minutes in the microwave in a big bowl. Stir in the peanut butter and then the flakes. Pour into a greased 9×13 pan and press out with buttered fingers. Yum!

It’s best to have the peanut butter and flakes premeasured. Good luck waiting for them to cool. 😉

      5. I made these for my Wednesday night Missionettes group (third through fifth grade girls). They absolutely loved them!! They insisted I bring the recipe so their moms could make these. It is the perfect combination of sweet and salty!

      6. Sugar AND corn syrup with FRUCTOSE!!! Oh my word, no wonder there is an epidemic of obesity in our country. My granddaughters would love this…but they will never see the recipe! We adults are supposed to be the sensible ones:-)

      7. I’ve made these for years. Got the recipe off of allrecipes called funky frito fruckies. They are best with dark chocolate chips left to melt on top. YUM

      8. My boyfriend told me about these and told me to check for the recipe on Pinterest, sure enough I found it and am excited to make them!

      9. I just made this after finding the recipe on pinterest. I love this recipe! It is even better with the chocolate drizzle!

      10. Salty and Sweet!!! Oh the best combo ever!! I will give these a try next family get together cause I know If I made them now I would eat them all!!lol

      11. I had these for the first time at a crop over the weekend and I am in LOVE with them!!! Perfect PMS food too! 🙂

      12. We love these too. I put the melted chocolate in a baggie and cut off a small corner – it makes it very easy to drizzle evenly over the top.

      13. I have found that you can use 1 1/2 – 2 bags of chips, and you still have plenty of yummy peanut butter mixture to cover all. Also it works great just to sprinkle mini choc. chips on top, no melting needed.
