I thought a drizzle of melted semi-sweet chocolate chips would be a nice touch over the peanut butter Fritos. However, it really wasn’t necessary. Cool, break (tear — it’s gooey)  into pieces or…

      1. My friend jokingly sent me this recipe because I love weird concuctions of foods. I really don’t care for a lot of peanut butter, but I know my dad loves both peanut butter and corn chips. The recipe took all of 5 minutes to make and it was great! I used natural, unsweetened peanut butter because you add a lot of sugar to begin with. This was a good choice, not too sweet but still nice and chewy. It was like a softer, saltier version of peanut brittle. I think I may make another batch for our Christmas party! Interesting how such a weird mix can taste so good. But then again, I never shy from odd mixtures (sugar snap cookies and nacho cheese?!)

      2. I think my grandkids would love this. I also will like it. Corn chips and caramel who wouldn’t like it.

      3. Made these last night and they were surprisingly AH-MAZING!! Oh my goodness!! Absolutely going into the *go-to* file 🙂

      4. My mom has been making these for 50 yrs plus but w rice krispies. I was very surprised as an adult to find out other people think rice crispies treats ate nade w marshmello cz mine have always been made w peanut butter. The only problem w these are they are gone in 5 hrs tops abd i always make double batches

      5. Yum. I am making it right now. I made it with dark corn syrup and half smooth and half crunchy peanut butter, since that’s what I had. Also added chocolate on the top so I put it in the freezer to set a bit. Dying to rip into it, the spoon was so yummy, like peanut butter toffee.

      6. just made these: kinda weird, it’s like a relative of rice krispies. i probably won’t make them again because the PB was so hard to get off the saucepan!!!

      7. Made a batch to share at work today. They got renamed “Frookies” and everyone LOVED them. We were all a bit skeptical at first, but were won over by the salty/sweet/crunchy/gooey combination. Thanks for sharing!

      8. I don’t care much for corn chips or peanut butter, but both my mum and I make these and devour them in very short time! Yummy, yummy, yummy!!!

      9. Thanks so much!!! My gluten-free, cornchip loving, peanut butter loving daughter is gonna flip over these!!! I’m gonna PIN this!!!

      10. This sauce tastes great poured over popcorn too, just make sure to get all unpopped kernels out first.

      11. Like the ideas for cornflakes–my son is gluten free, but he’s not a huge fan of corn chips. He can’t have a lot of PB, so will try our new favorite alternative: sunflower butter and see how it turns out! Thanks for the idea!

      12. Sounds like a keeper to me! These are on the list for tomorrow. I like all the other versions from other commenters also. Thank you for sharing!

      13. Haven’t yet, but so totally will be making these this weekend! I’ll post the Hartsaw House reviews! (Sounds like a winning combo, though, I’m guessing it will be a RUNAWAY HIT – as in it will all run away!) Thanks for posting!

      14. I am making these soon!! I have everything and am ready to go. One of the most repeated recipes in my kitchen is using this same sauce and covering rice chex cereal with it. I know I’m gonna go bonkers using the corn chips. Can’t tell you HOW happy I am that you shared this. Your photos make me drool!
