I used my heat embossing gun (the kind I use for my rubber stamping projects) to brown the tops. Although somewhat time-consuming, it worked great and gave me a lot of control to get them evenly brown.

I forgot to tell you that I saw this recipe last week printed it off and thought, I will have to give this a go someday. who would know the next day my hubby would call and need a goodie tray for a meeting at school within an hour!
I immediately thought of this recipe and was able to get a full spread (36) of chocolate merinque goodies to the meeting. Would have loved to have used lemon, but only had instant chocolate pudding on hand. They were wonderful and perfect! The broiler worked well, but keep a very close watch on the tops...

It's so easy! I love tiny, bite-sized desserts that you can just pop in your mouth.
I'd like to invite you to share this recipe on my linky, Sweet Tooth Friday. I hope to see you there. http://alli-n-son.com/2011/03/24/chocolate-donuts/
