The silicone baking molds work great for this too. I’ve used the mini tree mold at Christmas time with my daughters playgroup. We dumped all the colors and the kids sorted “their” color. The loved it.

The white molds are heat resistant to 375 degrees. They are used for making hard candy. The clear molds will melt in the oven and when pouring very hot candy.

i was wondering why the white ones and not the clear candy trays? i have seen alot of people use the clear ones before and was just wondering why not the clear ones.

Mississippi has a similar policy but not just limited to home made, no food items “unless they are low fat or low sugar”

These are a great alternative to food, much better really. As a parent of a child with a life threatening food allergy, I LOVE that schools recognize unlabeled foods brought to school as a safety issue. Parties are about having fun and including everyone. If treats are unsafe for some, then you have kids being excluded, and who wants to do that?
