Bella and I worked on her Valentines yesterday. She will be handing out these ladybug valentines.
We used red and white card-stock along with brads(metal paper fasteners), 4 1/2 ” square of black tissue paper, Tootsie Pops and wiggly eyes. Yes, black brads would have been easier, but I couldn’t find them anywhere. So we colored ours with a sharpie marker and it worked perfect!
If you want to make some ladybug valentines, here is the download for the body and wings.
Ladybug Valentine – Body
Ladybug Valentines – Wings
We placed a little glue stick around the bottom of the wrapper and wrapped the black tissue paper around the sucker. Next we attached the wings to the body with the brads, then hot glued the ladybug to the sucker.
Finished!

These are adorable and I can’t wait to make them for both of my girls. The download for the wings looks black and white, but yours is red/black. I am fairly new to the crafty thing, am I missing something?
By the way, thanks for all you do, I read your blog daily!
Too cute! At my daughter’s school each child has a symbol that they use to represent themselves. My daughter’s symbol is a ladybug! What a perfect valentine for her to give her friends!
Love it! Those are so adorable. I just posted about our Valentines on my blog today, too. Must be something in the air! 🙂

These are amazing! I wish I would’ve saw this for my daughter’s first birthday since Ladybugs were her theme.
Yes, hot glue works great to attach the Tootsie Pop to the ladybug.
Cute idea, but you didn’t say how you attached the Tootisie Pop, it looked like hot glue???? Dianne
