It is getting warmer around here but not many flowers yet so we made our own. I love making crafts that I remember from when I was little.
A quick trip through the house and we found everything we needed to make a nice little bouquet.
I cut the carton apart and my daughter began painting.
I put a small hole in the bottom and stuck a green pipe cleaner through and then attached a folded yellow pipe cleaner by bending the green one over. We then added a plastic pony bead to the top of the yellow pipe cleaners. On some we instead hot glued a medium sized pom pom to the inside of the flower.
We made leaves by using the shaped kind of pipe cleaners.
We attached the leaves by bending them around the stem. I added a dab of hot glue to the underside of the flower to keep the green pipe cleaner in place.
My daughter painted a toilet paper roll to make a vase. A 1 3/4" circle punch makes a perfect bottom for the toilet paper roll--just hot glue it on. We filled the 'vase' with rocks to keep it steady.
