A year ago, my family and I started talking about how hard it was to find good quality gifts for kids, which quickly turned into a conversation about each of our favorite toys and memories from childhood. After a while we realized that our fondest memories, whether from growing up in the 60s or twenty years later in the 80s, were of time spent exploring and imagining. That’s why we started imaginechildhood.com, a website that offers high quality durable toys, tools, and activities that encourage outdoor exploration, creativity, and imagination.

Today we are giving away a $35 gift certificate to our store! All you have to do to enter is take a trip over to the shop and tell us what your favorite item is in the comments for this post.

What a fun site!!! I have a three year old who would love the Fairies of the Month. Okay, okay, I have to be honest. I would love the Fairies of the Month. Hands down, my favorite is the Fairy Garden. I love gardening, and miniatures . . . and that’s such an incredible, adorable, fascinating idea! Love it.

A close second is the deluxe wood tree house, followed closely by the dollhouse furniture out of branches and twigs. Such fun!

I loved the silks, I think the kids at my Montessori based home daycare would absolutely love them. But the wooden Math Kit is absolutely wonderful and would make the most beautiful Montessori work I have ever seen. You have a wonderful shop and I will definately be there to shop. Thank you for offering us an alternative to all those plastic toys!!!

I just had the most delightful time visiting your website! The Fairy Garden captured my heart. I can only imagine the magical moments my two little girls and I would share setting it up together and watching it grow. Your site has been saved as one of my favorites. So glad to discover you!

As a preschool teacher I am always looking for educational, open-ended materials and toys for the children. I LOVE the natural wood tree house. What a wonderful way to bring the outdoors into the classroom!

I’ve been looking at your store for a while now…. so many beautiful and fun things! I think the fairies and their homes are just amazing. The wooden blocks and the natural wooden houses, the books… so many great things.

What an amazing store! I love everything. These are the kinds of things my nieces love. I think my favorite is the trebuchet. We’ve played with a larger one and she loved it. I think she’d love to have one of her own. I also think the fairy garden kit is adorable and did you see those lifelike stuffed animals!

Flights of Fancy About Trees Nature Kit is my favorite. I’m a 32 year old, and last fall, I was walking on trails collecting leaves with the 4-year-olds!

I loved this website! I want so much but I really loved the easel and the silks. I teach kindergarten and have a 3 year old who would love these! I also love the garden kits! My child love to plant things and I think we are going to try a tomato this year!
