Making Smencils Pencils and then giving some to YOU

My son made Smencils as a little back to school gift for his friends.  He had so much fun! Last year he bought one from another child at school selling them for her dance fundraiser.  He has talked about them ever since. I have to say it is a quite ingenious product that is also good for the environment.

In the home kit your receive enough supplies to make 8 pencils, two of each scent.

First you apply the label

Then apply the scent

Allow the pencil to dry and then place it in its own cool plastic freshness tube!

Smencils is going to allow 1 person to try the home kit that makes 8 pencils and 20 people to make a mini kit that makes two pencils. Please leave a comment by midnight Sunday, August 10, 2008 for a chance to win these extra fun freebies!

  1. I loves these! Bubble gum? Smores? You would make me hungry sniffing these! But….Ok you forced me to leave another comment. I noticed the can said made from recycled paper! That is right up my tree hugging path. Everyone laughed at me when I started using cloth diapers on my son! The family had dubbed me ‘the hippie’

This is the first time I have heard of Smencils. They are entirely unique. Immediately I thought that they would be great for a quick-and-easy classroom party project that’s also a small favor. It would be great too for a Scout project during the study of ecology. How about as a birthday party project and favor? Instead of birthday guests running around your house grinding cake into your carpet, they can be making and marveling over the Smencils created by their very own little hands! What a cool project with many uses! I would love to try them for my own grown-up self as well as the kids!
